Touches of Mid-Century Modern {Bedroom edition with AllModern}

Our bedroom got some new additions that have really leveled-up our room. It’s official, our bed feels like the nicest hotel bed you can imagine!! I was always under the impression that a bedding upgrade was an unnecessary expense, but really, is anything more important than getting a good nights rest? I can tell you that these new pieces have truly elevated our quality of sleep.

The first upgrade was the addition of the 3″ down alternative mattress topper. This has made a world of difference in how comfy our bed is. I love feeling like I’m sleeping on a cloud and this topper definitely feels like that. It’s also nice how the four corners have large straps to keep the topper from shifting.

The next item I added to our bed is the Burlington blanket that is so amazingly soft. I got it in the king size for our queen size bed because no one wants to fight for the blanket. Marriage tip right there for you all. We’ll be married 15 years this Thursday, so hey!

To top off our bed is the Emeline linen duvet cover in eggshell white. This duvet is so soft with both sides being the linen fabric. I promise, once you get linen bedding you’ll never want anything else.

Lastly, I added the Earl Task lamp in antique brass. This floor lamp is the perfect scale to add next to a bed or a sofa. It creates a nice ambiance as well as a great reading light at night. I love the slight angle of the lamp arm. It adds the perfect amount of character to this side of our room. You know what else adds character to our room? This guy….

Fletcher approves of all the new additions that have made our bedroom our haven. If new bedding isn’t in the budget right now, I definitely suggest setting a little bit aside as often as possible until you can upgrade. It will be the greatest gift you’ve ever given yourself. Happy zzzzzzz’s.
