A place where design, fun finds and family collide
With warmer temps starting it was the perfect time to switch up the bedding in our bedroom. I am such a fan of linen that I knew when Serena & Lily wanted to partner with me that I just had to get my hands on some of their linen products. They have so many options to choose from. I decided to select the Cavallo linen sheet set in Smoke Cambray because I just love that heathered color. I knew this cool-toned color would look so pretty against the warmth of my bed frame. Linen sheets, if you have never tried them, keep you cool in warmer months, but cozy in the colder ones. You truly can’t go wrong with them. To add an extra layer to our bed without adding too much weight, I selected the Sutter quilt which has linen on one side and cotton on the other. This combination sounded so breathable while still adding a coziness to our room. The little tufting detail has a taupe threading which I think mixes perfectly with my pillow combination. Something you should know about linen is it just gets better and better with repeated laundering.
I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Serena & Lily products that could be combined to create a room similar to my own along with some added products if you have more room than us. (small room problems) Sticking with a neutral palette allows for textures to create the interest in the room. So you’ll see I’ve suggested two wool rugs; one is braided and the other has a subtle pattern to it. I really try to stick with natural rugs in our home. I also love bringing in woods and rattan to add some extra variation in my spaces, so I’ve shared a wall basket set, leather stool and the most amazing wall sconces. I love to add a sheepskin in my spaces too because there is just something about that softness that takes the cozy factor up a notch.

To complete our bedroom refresh I switched up the art above our bed back to the photo print of my husband surfing when he was a teenager. Adding this kind of personal piece really creates a sense of home for us. Here’s the before of our room that had a gorgeous warmth to it:
