A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Making an entrance {an entry way refresh}

I recently had the pleasure to work with a client who is the sister of two past clients…I’m so blessed with referrals, keep them comin’.  This client needed help with her entry way, dining room and a fun game room for her kids.  Today I wanted to share with you how her entry way went from OK to heeeeeyyyyyyy!

You’ll see very quickly that the power of correctly scaled furniture is priceless.  She had a large wall in her entry, so I suggested we fill it up!

Here is the before photo…

And here is the after:

By using two large mirrors we really added some needed height and reflection to this space.  These black rounded-rectangular mirrors from Rejuvenation are my absolute favorite and at a grand scale of 30×42″ they really make a statement.  To balance out the statement being made by these black mirrors I suggested a warm wood console by Restoration Hardware.  This piece is 80″ long which was the perfect anchor to this wall.  This space isn’t fully completed yet, as we are waiting for more baskets and an entry rug, but I couldn’t help but share how this space has already had such a transformation.
