A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Master vanity refresh {The plan}

I’ve shared a bit of the demo process on my Insta stories regarding our master vanity area refresh, but felt it was time to get some documentation going.  We kicked the old 80’s cabinetry to the curb and have a new plan for this space in the works.  First, I thought we’d share the before’s because that’s always fun and scary. Ha!

This area is just off the main bathroom and attached to what should be the master bedroom.  (We gave the kids the master years ago)  With a family of four and only two bedrooms, we knew the kids needed the larger space.  We also knew that having only 2 sinks in the house did pose a bit of a struggle when everyone is getting ready in the morning.  So, our plan is…

We have purchased the double vanity that matches our other small vanity area to keep these very close areas cohesive.  We’ve started putting up the vertical ship lap today and it’s looking fabulous!  We are sticking with matte black faucets and adding two black mirrors.  Add in some fun accessories and we’ll be all set.  I’m officially on the hunt for a new vintage rug for this space because I’m sure it’s going to add just the right amount of personality.

    I love your style. Did you add legs to the vanity? If so, where did you get them?

      Thank you Natalie…yes, we purchased the legs from Ikea as well. We don’t trust our walls to hold the weight of it, so the legs were needed.
