A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Camel Nursery {neutral nursery design}

I have been seeing “camels” on the rise in the use of home decor and thought it would be fun to create a nursery design that exudes the colors of the desert…tans, browns, peaches, creams and a bit of black.

Using a lot of neutral colors keeps this space calm, as we all know nurseries should be, but with the use of many different textures, this room will be super cozy and aesthetically pleasing too.  You can’t go wrong with a Kalon crib…they not only are offered in the best colors, but they have the most amazing lines to them.  Their cribs alone are enough to make you say, “wow.”

I love the look of the Finn Rocker available through Anthropologie, but I know not all of us can afford it, but hey, this is just a nursery design mock-up so why not go big!  This design would be just as great with a simple Poang rocker from Ikea.  Adding a vintage kilim pillow is one of my many go to ideas to add originality.  And adding a custom weaving above the crib adds a subtle focal point and is also a great idea for those who don’t want to hang anything too heavy over the crib.

Neutral nurseries don’t ever have to be classified as boring.  I truly think they lead the path more towards beautiful…
