A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Fall decorations {new mantle decor}

I am willing it to become fall in my area…I’m so over the heat.  It has been a hot, hot summer, reaching 106 degrees a few weeks ago.  But, I’m feeling a change occurring.  I saw a few brown leaves on the trees this morning (wishful thinking right?), I’ve bought my pumpkin spice creamer for my coffee and I’ve officially changed my summer mantle to fall.

I’m so thankful for the many free printables available online.  I have found so many and have yet to decide which to have printed.  In the meantime I found a great deer silhouette that can be downloaded and decided that is where I wanted to start.

Thanks to Man Made DIY you can print it out too.  I printed it and traced it onto a square canvas I had and with just using some gold paint, created a new art statement to my mantle.

I like my little deer man.  He has added a fun element to my family room.  I’m definitely not a person who likes to do scary decorations for Halloween, so my simple little sign is just enough.  And this mantle can easily transition to a Thanksgiving display with very few changes.

I’ll be sure to let you know which printable I decide to use to add another ‘Halloween’ element to my mantle…you never know, you may love it too.
