A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Splurge vs Thrifty: clocks

In the hunt for a clients playroom design I found some pretty fun modern clocks.  They all had the feel I was looking for, but they all had very different price tags.  (as I’m sure quality too)  When it comes to working on a budget, you tend to design for the aesthetic of the room rather then the workability of a clock…the little guy can’t tell time just yet =)

I wanted the clock to be colorful, similar to a sunburst, modern and truly eye-catching.  Here is what I found.

George Nelson ball clock originally $280 and is on sale for $139
Lexington modern ball clock originally $70 on sale for $30.58
George Nelson sunburst clock for $300 on sale for $149

Juggler ball clock $30

Smithsonian Ball Wall Clock for $29.95

Lacquered Wood Ball Clock for $124
All are such fun clocks, the colors in each are so pretty together.
Splurge vs. thrifty…what’s your way?

Now for an added tidbit…I’ve entered the newest contest taking place on Olioboard if you wouldn’t mind voting each day for my boards I’d really appreciate it. (Be sure to be logged in)  My boards are called
