I love a simple space, but one that still has warmth and texture. Creating a strong base before adding all the decor is so important. It allows you to incorporate new items as your style or the season changes without having to purchase new larger ticket items. For this sample living room I have featured a sectional in a light upholstery fabric with rich wood-toned legs. You’ll see I have incorporated that rich wood-tone in the coffee table as well as the weaved accent chair. Grounding the entire area is a textural rug in a very subdued neutral pattern. And you can’t forget plants, they liven up a room immediately.
With these base items you would be setting yourself up for a successful space. From here you could then start adding vintage textiles, side tables and decor. With all of that you’d have a curated living room.
