I’m excited to share with you all this nursery that was recently completed by the mommy and daddy of the little boy I’m carrying. For those of you that are new to my site, I am a gestational carrier for my cousin and his wife and we are due the middle of August. As that date is quickly approaching, the parents and I have been in the process of getting his room designed and put together. Seeing as they live on the East Coast, this was a classic E-design for me along with plenty of emails and photos back and forth. They just put their finishing touches on the nursery and shared it with all their friends, so now it is my turn to share it with all of you!
The starting point for this nursery was when the parents absolutely fell in love with a room featured on Project Nursery that had striped walls that they definitely wanted to incorporate. Knowing that our backdrop would be striped helped me in deciding on how to balance the rest of the space and the patterns used. My cousin loves the game of golf and had a few treasured items from his childhood that were to be featured in the space…from there, the other pieces fell into place.
I just know this little guy is going to love growing up in this space. Hopefully the book wall gets plenty of use when he is up and mobile. I know his mommy and daddy already enjoy lounging in the glider, putting their feet up. And I know he’ll never forget where he was born because of the California silhouette we incorporated into the gallery wall.
Source of the glider?
Hi Katie…it's the Crescent glider from Wayfair
