A place where design, fun finds and family collide

Half bath {peacock theme}

I was recently contacted by a client who wanted some real quick help with their half bath that is right off their grand room.  They wanted it in the colors of a peacock, but done in a subtle way.  The walls of the bathroom are already Nimbus by Benjamin Moore, with white trim and a white pedestal sink and toilet, the floors are a slate.  We were working with really simple and clean staples, so it was just using a few accessories to pull this theme in.  The fun part for me was we were working on a small budget.  Sprucing up this bathroom wasn’t a necessity, but my client knew it would make her happy.  I think that this is important to remember. It doesn’t take a lot of money to make a big impact.  When we have stores like Target collaborating with great designers, it is possible to find aesthetically pleasing items at a low cost.  This total redo will cost $200.

A few things about this space…her kids use it all the time, it is small with no counter space.  With that being said, we didn’t need much.  Here is what I’ve come up with for her.
1,  2,  3,  4,  5,  6,  7,  8,  9
My favorite part is the simple DIY art that we are going to do.  Using large square frames to mount two identical peacock feathers in.  I think it will be nice pulling in the true colors you find in a peacocks beautiful feathers, as well as, the glistening that you get from the feathers texture.
I’m excited to see how this little transformation comes about.
